| P4 My Farm by Caelin I live on a mixed farm and do my jobs like feeding the animals, clean the horse pens, milk the cows and collecting the eggs from the chickens. The season is spring and it’s the 5th of March, one of the busiest times of the year. Ten lambs are born and five calves. I went to feed the chickens but when I went away I didn’t close the door. I have a big farm and by the time I got to the house I remember that I left the door open. I ran back to the chicken pen, but when I got there only one chicken was left. I looked back and I saw a fox. What was I going to do….? P4 pupils learning fascinating farm facts at Langhill farm |

November 17th
Book Week kicks off with the author Alan Burnett's visit on Monday and I'm sure he will be very entertaining!
As the week progresses we plan to read and listen to lots of 'bear' books in celebration of Paddington's 50th birthday, and the children can talk about their favourite authors.
At Book Night there will be the opportunity to buy the Magic Reindeer food that the class will produce.
November 10th
P4 are starting to prepare their enterprise task, which involves mixing magic reindeer food, printing labels for the bags and creating advertising posters for the stall at Book Night coming up soon.
There has been great interest in visitors to the bird tables and many children are bringing scraps of food. Thank you.
Solutions to the squirrel dominance problem are welcome!
November 3rd
I look forward to meeting everyone at Parents' Evenings.
P4 start using the bird feeding stations next week so suitable scraps would be appreciated-but remember the school 'no nuts' policy.
Thank you.
